Pier-side nursery pens allowed the hatchery-reared cod to acclimate to ocean water. Researchers plan to streamline the delivery process with the next crop. Waiting for cod juveniles to become larger and older before the transfer will allow them to be stocked directly into a nursery net pen nested in an offshore cage.
